St. Augustine Sod Pallet
Product Details

Experience the lush, classic look of the South with our premium St. Augustine sod. Known for its broad, flat blades and vibrant, blue-green color, this grass forms a dense, soft, carpet-like lawn. Our locally-sourced sod is available by the piece or in full pallets (450 square feet per pallet)

St. Augustine features:

  • Ideal for warm climates: This warm-season grass thrives in Shreveport's intense heat and humidity, maintaining vigor through the hottest months.
  • Excellent shade tolerance: St. Augustine is a shade-tolerant warm-season grasses available, performing well in partial sun or shaded areas (requires a minimum of 4-6 hours of sunlight).
  • Natural weed suppression: Its vigorous, dense growth habit and thick canopy naturally crowd out most weeds, reducing the need for chemical treatments.
  • Quick establishment: St. Augustine spreads rapidly via stolons (aboveground runners), ensuring fast coverage and a fully established lawn in a relatively short time.
  • Heat tolerance: It excels in high temperatures and full sun, making it perfectly suited for the Louisiana climate.
  • Moderate maintenance: While it needs regular watering during dry periods, it is considered a moderate-maintenance grass with relatively low mowing and fertilizing needs compared to some other varieties.
